Why Absolute Health

A different kind of physiotherapy clinic

Three things you will not find at most physiotherapy practices on the Sunshine Coast.

Assessment before treatment

We diagnose before we treat. That sounds obvious, but a lot of physiotherapy goes straight to treatment without a proper mechanical assessment of what is actually going on. We do not do that.

Physio and chiropractic under one roof

Physiotherapy, chiropractic and exercise physiology share the same building at Smith Street. When a case benefits from more than one discipline, that collaboration happens at your appointment, not across separate referrals.

On-site imaging when you need it

Digital X-ray and Motion IQ computerised range-of-motion testing are available on-site. When imaging will change the diagnosis or treatment plan, you do not need to go elsewhere and come back another day.

Our approach

Physio and chiropractic in the same building

Most physiotherapy clinics operate separately from chiropractic care. At Absolute Health, both are under one roof at Smith Street. When a presentation calls for a blended approach, or when one discipline has reached a plateau, the two teams collaborate at the same visit. Not across two separate referrals to different buildings a week apart.

This is genuinely uncommon in Queensland. If your case needs it, we can bring in the relevant expertise without you having to start over somewhere else.

Technology

Motion IQ and digital X-ray on-site

Objective measurement produces better outcomes. We use Motion IQ computerised range-of-motion testing to measure exactly how your spine is moving. That gives you and your physiotherapist a factual baseline at the start of care and something concrete to measure progress against at every review.

On-site digital X-ray means that when imaging will change the diagnosis or treatment plan, you do not need to go elsewhere. It happens here, at your appointment.

First visit

What happens at your first appointment

Your first appointment is an hour. We spend the first half taking a full history and running a physical assessment, which means we understand exactly what is going on before treatment begins. You will leave with a clear explanation of what we found, what we think is causing it and what the treatment plan looks like.

Subsequent appointments are typically 30 to 45 minutes depending on what stage of rehabilitation you are at. We track objective progress at every review so you can see how things are improving.
